一般社団法人和音（WAON） は、日本の伝統芸能を未来へと受け継ぎ、その魅力を国内外に広く発信することを目的として2024年に設立されました。能や邦楽をはじめとする伝統文化の継承・発展に取り組むとともに、現代の表現や異なるジャンルとの協働を通じて、新しい文化のかたちを創り出しています。

舞台公演や国際交流、教育活動、映像制作、文化コンテンツ事業など、多角的な活動を展開し、日本文化の持つ普遍的な美と精神を次世代へとつなげていきます。

代表理事は観世流シテ方能楽師で重要無形文化財保持者の 津村禮次郎。
専務理事は作曲家の 渋谷牧人 が務めています。
伝統と創造を両輪に、和音はこれからも文化の架け橋となる活動を続けてまいります。

“Brdging Tradition and Tomorrow”

WAON – General Incorporated Association was founded in 2024 with the mission of carrying Japan’s traditional performing arts into the future and sharing their enduring beauty with audiences worldwide. Rooted in Noh, traditional music, and other cultural forms, WAON not only preserves and develops tradition, but also creates new expressions through collaboration across cultures and artistic genres.

Our activities range from stage productions and international exchange to educational programs, video productions, and cultural content projects, all designed to pass on the universal spirit and aesthetics of Japanese culture to the next generation.

The association is led by Reijiro Tsumura, Noh actor of the Kanze school and holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property, as President, and Makito Shibuya, composer, as Executive Director. With tradition and creativity as its twin pillars, WAON continues to serve as a bridge of culture connecting Japan with the world.
